The third edition of SkillHer Meet unfolded on March 28, 2024, at LMP Space, bringing together a diverse group of young women eager to explore the knowledge on how to balance their business alongside a career, with the theme," Balancing your Business alongside a Career." The event promised valuable insights, and it delivered beyond expectations. The facilitator was Pamilerin Akintayo, also known as Coach PA.
Coach PA, has an Economics degree
and is currently pursuing a Master's in Business Administration. She has
completed numerous certification programs and has expertise in leadership and
business coaching, product design (UI/UX), project management, and human
resource management.
The event kicked off with attendees introducing themselves, creating an engaging atmosphere. Coach PA's bio was then read, offering a glimpse into the wealth of knowledge she was about to share.
Keynote Session:
She also threw a case study to us that if we were offered 100 million to sell our business at the stage that it is, are we going to sell it? It brought about a roar in the room as everyone had their opinion and reasons to why they will or will not sell their businesses.
During the Q&A session, Maryam
posed a common question: "What do I need to start a business?"
Coach PA's advice was
practical—start where you are, invest in knowledge as much as you can, and
learn the skills needed, get certifications if possible. A reminder that
barriers can be overcome with determination and resourcefulness.
The event concluded with heartfelt appreciation for Coach PA's invaluable insights. Participants left armed with knowledge to navigate a business alongside a career.
