Celebrating Some Skillher Community Members Wins

 

At Skillher, we celebrate the achievements of our community members, women who are turning passion into progress and making a difference in their fields. Today, we shine the spotlight on three incredible members whose journeys inspire us all.

1. Dr Maryam Zacharia: Channeling a Passion for Education, Health and Entrepreneurship into a unique professional advancement path

Dr Maryam joined Skillher as a youth corper serving at the VTH, University of Ibadan with a dream of advancing her studies and nurturing her aspirations to become a notable voice in the public health community. After her NYSC, she’s been able to secure herself a post-NYSC job, a fully funded masters program, as well as an opportunity to cultivate her interest in entrepreneurship and education through a unique role as a school overseer and administrator. Insights gleaned across Skillher meets sessions such as this and this have come in very handy in navigating her remarkable transition. She’s delighted to currently be able to provide her student’s with quality education while pursuing her fully funded master’s program at the University of Edinburgh and continuing to build her profile through a series of public health engagements.



2. Kofoworola Akinsola: From Beginner to Advanced

Kofoworola came to Skillher with little experience in Project Management but a lot of determination. Through our programs and an opportunity to learn and practice by job shadowing, she has gained invaluable experience, sharpened her skills remarkably and channeled the same to her professional advancement. Her performance has subsequently secured her opportunities in her career to gain additional responsibilities, make remarkable presentations at an international conference and currently function as a project lead in a major vaccination intervention. Her highlights of completing the Project Management Job shadowing and earning Project Lead role on the vaccination intervention are testaments to the abundant possibilities of upskilling.

                                                                   

3. Monilola Olaseinde: Venturing into a new field & growing her passion

Olaseinde Monilola, is another dynamic member of the Skillher community, whose journey embodies growth, passion, and transformation. She joined the community while working as a researcher, eager to explore different career paths. Driven by her innate curiosity and love for learning, she enrolled in a Digital Marketing course with Skillher. With her newly gained skills, she successfully transitioned into a Marketing role at Leadway, where she continues to grow professionally. Beyond her job, Monilola is also applying what she’s learned to build her own brand and business along the way. Her journey reflects the power of learning and personal growth within the Skillher community.



These are a few of several remarkable stories of advancement within the Skillher community, Kudos to all these women and several others that are leveling up, maximizing the opportunities at their disposal and inspiring others to do the same. 

At Skillher, every member’s win is a win for the entire community. These stories are just a glimpse of the incredible talent and ambition that make up our network. By sharing these achievements, we aim to inspire other women to dream big, pursue their goals, and take advantage of the opportunities within Skillher.
