IWD 2026, Give to Gain: The Power of Women Lifting Women

Every year, Women’s Month reminds us of the strength, resilience, and brilliance of women across the world. But beyond celebration, it is also a moment to reflect on something deeper: the power of women supporting women.

This year’s theme, “Give to Gain,” speaks to a simple but powerful truth — when women pour into other women, everyone grows.

Many of us can point to a woman who made a difference in our journey. Sometimes it was a mentor who shared guidance when we felt unsure of our path. Sometimes it was a friend who reminded us of our strength during a difficult season. Other times it was a teacher, a colleague, a sister, or even a stranger who opened a door, shared an opportunity, or spoke a word that stayed with us long after the moment passed.

Those acts may have seemed small at the time, but their impact can last a lifetime.

What makes this even more powerful is that the story rarely ends there. The woman who was once encouraged becomes the one who encourages others. The one who received guidance becomes the mentor. The one who was supported becomes the supporter.

This is how impact multiplies.

“Giving” in this context does not always mean something grand. Sometimes it is giving your time, your advice, your encouragement, or your platform. It might be recommending someone for an opportunity, sharing a skill, checking in on a woman who needs support, or simply reminding someone that she is capable of more than she believes.

These small acts of generosity build confidence, open doors, and create networks of women who rise together rather than alone.

We gain the joy of seeing another woman grow and succeed.

And often, we gain unexpected opportunities and support when we need it most.

The truth is that no woman succeeds entirely on her own. Behind every confident woman is often another woman who believed in her first.

This Women’s Month, we invite you to reflect on the women who have poured into your life — and also on the ways you are pouring into others. Because when one woman rises, she creates space for many more to rise with her.
