A Mid-Year Check-In

We're almost halfway through the year, and it's a good time to do a quick check-in.

For many of us, January began with hope, goals, plans, and expectations. We set targets, made vision boards, signed up for courses, applied for opportunities, and imagined where we would be by now. Yet, life has a way of unfolding differently than we expect.

Some of us have made significant progress and have much to celebrate. Others may feel like they've moved more slowly than they hoped. Some have faced unexpected challenges, changing priorities, financial pressures, family responsibilities, career setbacks, or seasons that simply demanded more than they anticipated.

Wherever you find yourself today, this is your reminder that growth is not a race.

Not every achievement is visible.
Not every victory is loud.
And not every season is meant for sprinting.

Sometimes growth looks like learning to keep going.
Sometimes it looks like choosing yourself again.
Sometimes it looks like resting, healing, adjusting, and preparing for what comes next.

At SkillHer, we believe that personal and professional growth begins with honest reflection. Before we focus on what's next, it's important to check in with where we are right now.

So today, we invite you to pause for a moment and ask yourself:

How am I really doing?

And then, complete this sentence:

"Right now, I need more ________ in my life."

Maybe it's:

  • Courage

  • Consistency

  • Discipline

  • Opportunities

  • Confidence

  • Peace

  • Mentorship

  • Direction

  • Community

Or perhaps it's something entirely different.

Whatever your answer is, feel free to share and take a moment to encourage another woman in our community. You never know who needs to hear that they're not alone in what they're feeling or experiencing.

As we move into the second half of the year, may we give ourselves grace for the journey so far and courage for the journey ahead. 💜
