The Learning Never Stops: Reflections Ahead of SkillHer's Next SAW
At SkillHer, we believe some of the best lessons come from sharing our experiences with one another.
Last weekend, we hosted the second edition of SkillHer Saturday Hot Seat, where members reflected on a simple but powerful question:
"What skill are you currently learning, and what advice would you give another woman on staying consistent?"
The responses were a reminder that every learning journey is different, but perseverance is a common thread.
Sayofunmi shared how learning social media marketing has improved the way she communicates and creates content, reminding us that consistency beats perfection.
Kofoworola reflected on the importance of self-discipline, noting that while motivation comes and goes, discipline keeps us moving towards our goals.
Rose, who recently began learning data analysis, highlighted the value of accountability, taking small daily steps, and applying new skills through practical experience.
For Kelechi, learning AI and automation while balancing work, family, and other responsibilities has not been easy, but she continues to show up because she knows today's effort is preparing her for tomorrow's opportunities.
Different stories. Different skills. One shared message: keep learning, keep growing, and don't give up.
These conversations are exactly why SkillHer exists—to create a community where women encourage one another, share knowledge, and grow together.
And we're just getting started.
Very soon, we'll be launching a new edition of our Skills Acquisition Workshop (SAW) in partnership with Tech Impact Circle (TIC) Africa, where even more women will have the opportunity to develop practical, future-ready skills and become part of a thriving community of learners.
