  At SkillHer, we believe some of the best lessons come from sharing our experiences with one another. Last weekend, we hosted the second edition of SkillHer Saturday Hot Seat , where members reflected on a simple but powerful question: "What skill are you currently learning, and what advice would you give another woman on staying consistent?" The responses were a reminder that every learning journey is different, but perseverance is a common thread. Sayofunmi shared how learning social media marketing has improved the way she communicates and creates content, reminding us that consistency beats perfection . Every year on 24 January, the world marks the International Day of Education to reminder us why education matters. The theme for 2026 is “The Power of Youth in Co-Creating Education.” In simple terms, it means this: Young people should not only be taught — they should help shape education. At SkillHer , this is something we strongly believe in. Too often, education is designed for young people without asking them what they actually need. But young people understand their own challenges, goals, and realities better than anyone else. When their voices are included, education becomes more useful, more practical, and more empowering. After weeks of immersive learning and hands-on workshops, the training phase of the SkillHer Skills Acquisition Workshop (SAW) in collaboration with dRPC and supported by the Ford Foundation, ended on a high note with a Capstone Showcase that highlighted the creativity, teamwork, and growth of our participants. With  118 participants , the learners were all grouped into hybrid Capstone teams, each assigned a specific task and represented by two members who made the final presentations. This year’s challenge featured  three practical tracks , each designed to help the beneficiaries apply their new skills to real-world situations. Track 1: Research & Project Management — 1st Place Participants researched potential partners/supporters, designed a SkillHer-aligned mini project targeted at 50 additional beneficiaries , and began early implementation during the workshop.
